Jelena Trivić, president of the People's Front, commented on the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to reject the appeal of Milorad Dodik, assessing that the long-standing policy of the former leader of Republika Srpska contributed to the weakening of the autonomy of the entities.

According to Trivić, the problem arose when the RS National Assembly passed the Law on Non-Application of the Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which, as he states, violated the constitutional order and endangered Srpska's position in the negotiations.

“The adoption of the controversial law was an attack on the constitutional order of BiH, and the inspirer of this law was Milorad Dodik,” Trivic said.

Trivic admits that the decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court are sometimes harmful to Serbs, but points out that Dodik's strategy of maximalist demands has led to the opposite effect. The withdrawal of the controversial law and the decisions of the National Assembly, including the Law on Immovable Property, has given legitimacy to institutions involving foreign judges, such as the OHR and the BiH Constitutional Court, and reduced the autonomy of Republika Srpska compared to the situation three years ago.

“We, who have pursued a rational, responsible and nationally conscious policy, remain sorry for the political defeat of Republika Srpska, but I believe that the struggle for the position of Serbs and Republika Srpska can continue in a wise way, strengthening the entity without destroying Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Trivic said.

In the end, Trivic accused Dodik of recklessness and manipulation of national feelings for personal political gain, adding: “The political fate of Milorad Dodik should be regretted by those who have been enriching themselves with him at the expense of the people for more than two decades.”
